Envoyer un courrier à Bernard Hermier à Matoury me semble un bon début. Si une publication a été enregistrée pour cette espèce, il devrait probablement être au courant.

The only way to be sure it is a male or a femelle is to check the genitalia of the specimen. You do not need to dissec it. You can checked it just with a magnification device. My guess for the shape of the abdomen is that it is a male
On the other hand, it is true that it is hard to see any female of this particular specie (or actually of any Baeotus specie), but this is due to the fact that this specie do not show sexual dimorphism as the other congeneric species do. However, many of the specimens people have in collections are from "elevage". So it is pretty sure the breeders have females.

We are now sure this specimen is a female... nymphalidae males can easily be separated from females just looking at the forelegs !
