[Deltochilum tesselatum BATES, 1870] Deltochilum péruvien

N'ayant pas eu un franc succès avec mes longis panaméens, je retente ma chance avec un Deltochilum provenant du Pérou, région de San Martin, capturé en avril 2006.

I think that this Deltochilum is D.luederwaldti, Pereira D'Andreatta
the only different by the original description is the color but this isen't a important caracter,however I have in my collection the blu form and the green form and they are igual in every caracters.

I have 4 specimens and all have this kind of coloration, so dark blue.

il resemble aussi fortement à Deltochilum tessellatum Bates 1870, cité du Pérou, Brésil et Equateur, dont je possèdes deux exemplaires d'Equateur mais qui sont vert. Très belle bête!!!

Au fait, quelle est la taille de ce Deltochilum ?

Comment peut-on différencier D. luederwaldti de D. tesselatum?

This key you can be useful, apparently it agrees more with D. tesselatum. But it would be interesting if you can take photos from the head, pronotum, and aedeagus:


1. Part dorsal dark blue with silky reflexes, ventral part blue or cupreus, or cupreus green. Prothorax with marked posterior angles. Gena angulose in front (tooth big in the gena). Epipleuras rugose y with few points. Interstria with small ocellar points and very small and sparses granules between them. Median femur with posterior margin
with 2 denticles situated on basal third and another on apical equal in length.
Aedeagus blunt apicaly. 17 - 21 Mm .... Deltochilum Tesselatum Bates, 1870

1' Part dorsal metalic coppery color with green sheen Prothorax posterioly more round pronotum. Gena dentiform
in front (tooth small in the gena). Epipleuras with points more numerous in front. Interstrias with strong points mixed with
small and very brilliant granules. Posterior margin of median femur with a central denticle. Aedeagus is more acute apicaly.

I was studying the descriptions of Paulian (1838 and 1939) and Pereira and Andrettya 1955, they coincide with D. tesellatum, apparently the color is not categorical in the identification, This author also mentions it for Colombia
