Dear Colleagues,
first of all, please excuse me if I am writing in english, but I am not able to write in french, even if I understand it.
Now, let me introduce myself to the community. I am an italian lepidopterist (even if I work as a dentist!!!) and am studying and collecting neotropical butterflies for more than 25 years. Presently I am mainly studying the fascinating andean Pieridae (with special reference to genus Catasticta, Leptophobia and Leodonta), but I am interested to Papilionidae of the genus Parides, too. Even if I have a reference Parides collection of more than 3000 specimens, I never found any Colleague available to trade guyanese specimens. The few specimens I have from Guyane were kindly sent to me by Christian Brévignon some years ago! So, I was especially happy finding this nice community, as I thought: well, I am in the right place!!!!!
So, I am wondering if any of you all would be available to exchange your spare Parides with me. Perfect quality is not mandatory at all, but collecting data are necessary. Also worn specimens would be of great interest to me!!! By my side, I could offer neotropical Papiliondae and Pieridae, including many rare and interesting Catasticta.
So, if any of you find my proposal as acceptable, please contact me by e-mail.
Thank you for your kind attention
Ciao
